RADICAL GRANDE VALLE NEWS - SUPPORT!!!!!

December 2, 2008 - Subway, the third largest fast-food chain in the world and the biggest fast-food buyer of Florida tomatoes, reached an agreement this morning with the CIW to help improve wages and working conditions for the workers who pick their tomatoes! Terms of the agreement include a supplier code of conduct that requires farmworker participation in monitoring growers' compliance, zero tolerance for serious labor rights violations, and a penny-per-pound wage increase for the campesin@s. YA CAYO, YA CAYO, el SUBGUEY YA CALLO!!!! For more information of this victory, you can check out these articles.
