ACOSTA JAN 2010 MIXTAPE

New party is being in the works. Official date will be announced as soon as everything is properly organized. Big apologies to whoever tried to make it out to the last "el ritual" party at ambiente. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding with the club and we were forced to cancel it.

On a side note here is a new mixtape from local producer and friend, acosta.

Background:

Student/Farmworker Alliance (SFA) is a national network of students and youth organizing with farmworkers to eliminate sweatshop conditions and modern-day slavery in the fields. We work in alliance with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW), a membership-led organization of mostly Latino, Haitian, and Mayan Indian farmworkers and other low-wage workers based in Southwest Florida. We understand our work - which formally began in 2000 - as part of larger movements for economic and social justice. Youth in the RGV have been organizing with the SFA since 2005.

The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is an internationally recognized, award-winning farmworker organization based in southern Florida. It has assisted the U.S. Department of Justice and FBI in successfully investigating and prosecuting cases of modern-day slavery and it has been recognized with the 2007 Anti-Slavery International Award and the 2003 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award.
